Hook & Loop Discs

Unlike adhesive-backed (PSA) discs, these discs attach to a backing pad via hook-and-loop fasteners, which allow the discs to be attached and removed easily and reused later. Use hook-and-loop backed discs on random orbital and rotary sanders with a backing pad (sold separately) for blending, deburring, and finishing.

Choose coarser grits for an even, smooth finish, and finer grits for a fine, polished finish.

General Purpose

The most commonly used abrasive for sanding a variety of materials, the aluminum oxide grit on these discs provides a balance of toughness and strength. These hook-and-loop discs are for general use on both metals and wood. Use these discs with a hook-and-loop backup pad (sold separately).

General Purpose for Vacuum Attachment

Keep a wide variety of sanding applications clear of dust and debris with these alumina-oxide abrasive discs with vacuum holes. When you attach a vacuum to these discs, dust and debris are sucked up through the vacuum holes on the abrasive side of the disc while sanding. Providing a balance of toughness and strength, aluminum oxide is the most commonly used abrasive for sanding a variety of materials. Use these discs with a hook-and-loop backup pad (sold separately).

Naturally fracturing during use, the ceramic alumina abrasive on these discs keeps a new, sharp point at the surface, allowing these hook-and-loop discs to stay cooler, require less pressure, and last longer on hard materials than those with general-use aluminum oxide or long-life zirconia alumina abrasive. Ceramic alumina is suitable for use on stainless steel and other hard metals. Use these discs with a hook-and-loop backup pad (sold separately).

Cool & Fast Cutting for Vacuum Attachment

Dust and debris are sucked into the vacuum holes of these hook-and-loop backed ceramic discs while sanding when you connect a vacuum. Ceramic is tough and lasts longer on hard materials than aluminum oxide and zirconia alumina abrasive. It is suitable for use on stainless steel and other hard metals. Use these discs with a hook-and-loop backup pad (sold separately).

Nylon Webbed for Finishing & Conditioning

Clog-resistant and gentle on workpieces, these discs are used to finish and condition a variety of materials. The nylon construction maintains flexibility for sanding without altering the shape of the workpiece while the webbed construction allows debris and dust to fall through the disc and resists clogs. Use these discs with a hook-and-loop backup pad (sold separately).

Hook & Loop Backup Pads

Get even distribution of pressure across the disc while sanding by using a backup pad. The pad is required when using hook-and-loop discs. It is placed between the disc and the sander as both a barrier and a support.
