Progressive Cavity Pumps

Use these progressive cavity pumps to move highly viscous fluids such as mud, sewage, and slurry at a constant flow rate, even if the viscosity is variable. Also called progressing cavity pumps, progg cavity pumps, eccentric screw pumps, or rotary screw pumps, these pumps move fluid through by scooping it up into a series of cavities turning on a rotor, helping to reduce the possibility of clogging and lessen the wear and tear that can happen when pumping high viscosity fluids with other types of positive displacement pumps. This gentle process is also good for fluids that are sensitive to pump shear, such as pharmaceutical materials.

Light Duty

The simple design and construction of these progressive cavity pumps makes them easy to maintain and useful for general pumping tasks such as for garden irrigation systems, pumping water from wells or open water, and water sampling. These devices have a wobble stator, which makes them best for light duty use.
