Pump Unloader & Relief Valves

Pump Unloader & Relief Valves

Maintain proper pump flow by installing one of these valves. When fluid in the system deviates from the normal pressure or flow, these valves allow the material to bypass pressure points to allow for some relief, or restrict liquid flow until pressure returns to normal.

Pressure Relief Valves

Protect pumping systems from damage or a disruption of service in the line due to excessive pressure. When fluid pressure exceeds a particular point, these relief valves open to bypass liquid and reduce the pressure. As the pressure decreases, the valves close.

Thermal Valves

These valves help prevent heat damage to your pump during the recirculation of bypass liquids. If the fluid temperature gets too high the bleed port on these valves opens to allow the overheated liquid to escape. They are typically used in systems where the bypass mode is engaged frequently or for long periods of time.

Safety Valves

Also known as pop-off valves, help prevent dangerously high pressure in pump systems with these safety valves that, when triggered, release system fluid. They are designed as a fail-safe device and should always be used with a pressure regulator or unloader valve.

Unloader Valves

Commonly used with high-pressure washing systems, these valves reduce pressure buildup and help prevent surge shocks that can occur in the pump when the spray gun is turned off. After the spray gun cuts off the flow of water, the unloader valve opens to allow liquids to bypass back into the pump, keeping the pump supplied with fluid.

Water Check Valves

Also known as 1-way directional valves, if these valves sense reverse flow they immediately close to prevent water from flowing backwards into the supply line and damaging the pump system. Mount either vertically or horizontally.
