Valve Wheel Wrenches

Valve Wheel Wrenches

Valve wheel wrenches provide more force than just hands alone when loosening or tightening valve wheels on gas and water lines. One or more hooks prevent the wrench from slipping off the wheel, and a long handle provides leverage for turning stuck wheels. These wrenches can be used on overhead fixtures or in tight spaces.

Double End

With a differently sized head on each end of the tool, double-end valve wheel wrenches allow a wider range of jobs to be accomplished with one tool.

Single End

A curved hook at one end of the wrench fits around the rim of a valve wheel, and force is applied to the handle to turn the wheel. Round-end valve wheel wrenches are a good choice for turning valve wheels in a range of styles. Choose a wrench that fits the wheel's rim size.

F-Shape End

Sometimes called a wheel hook, these wrenches have an F-shaped head that fits into the corner between the wheel rim and crossbar to provide good leverage when the handle is pulled. F-shaped valve wheel wrenches can be used with wheels in a range of sizes.

Claw End

These valve wheel wrenches have two curved hooks at one end of the tool. The hooks are offset so that one hook can grip the rim of a valve wheel while the other hook rests on the underside of the rim. They provide more support for the tool than round-end valve wheel wrenches.

Gas Shutoff

In case of emergency or when repairing lines and equipment, use one of these wrenches to shut off water and gas lines. The U-shaped head fits onto a shutoff valve wheel to turn it, and differently sized slots in the handle can be used to turn valve stems.
