Thermostatic Expansion Valves

Often called metering devices, these valves control the flow of liquid refrigerant into an evaporator to allow for optimal cooling of the refrigerant fluid for more heat absorption. The valves, also known as TEV, TXV, or TV, keep the pressure of the liquid refrigerant low as it flows into the evaporator, providing plenty of room for the liquid to expand back into its gaseous phase. The temperature and pressure of the evaporator determines the flow of refrigerant and superheat.
