Variable Air Volume Pressure Transducers

Variable Air Volume Pressure Transducers

Also called differential pressure transmitters, these transducers measure the difference between two pressures in VAV (Variable Air Volume) systems and send an analog signal to a separate controller. They help maintain peak performance and efficiency, as well as avoid costly repairs. Most often used to monitor HVAC air flow to help ensure optimal fan operation, they are also used to help detect corrosion or leaks in air conditioner tubes, determine cleanliness of ducts and filters, and confirm that heating elements are exposed to proper air flow.
