Construction Reamers

Designed for heavy duty use in difficult materials, these construction reamers have tapered flutes designed to ease the tool's entry into rough-cut or misaligned holes. Also called bridge, car, and alignment reamers, these tools are often used for deburring and reaming rivet holes in iron and structural steel parts found in automobiles, bridges, rail cars, ships, and pressure vessels.

Morse Taper Shank

Reamers with Morse taper shanks can be directly inserted into the spindle of a compatible drill press or lathe or into an adapter such as a Morse taper sleeve or socket, allowing the tool to be installed and changed out easily. Taper shank reamers are self-locking; the friction between the shank and the tool holder keeps the tool in place and transmits torque from the machine to the tool. They provide accurate centering and are commonly used in metalworking and high-torque applications.

Round Shank with Safety Collar

A safety collar on the shank of these construction reamers prevents the reamer from going too deep into the workpiece.
