Cut internal and external threads into an existing hole using these thread mills. A single thread mill can thread a wide range of hole diameters, eliminating the need to change tools when threading multiple holes in different sizes. The mill starts cutting at the bottom of the hole and cuts as it spirals up and around the hole wall. Multiple teeth along the surface of the thread mill engage the entire hole wall for accurate milling of difficult materials such as stainless steel or Inconel.
Straight Flute for Internal Threads
Used for internal thread only, these thread mills are inserted into the hole along the axis of the spindle, deep enough to produce the full thread depth required. They have a straight--not spiral--flute, which is ideal for general purpose applications, and when you do not want to drill a hole that goes completely through material.

Spiral Flute for Internal & External Threads
Spiral flute thread mills are used in both internal and external threading, and are useful for through holes. These push chips out of a hole and bridge gaps inside a hole. Threads are more useful than taps if you are producing different parts, threads, and materials on one machine.
Single Flute for Internal & External Threads
Single profile thread mills can cut internal and external threads in various sizes with minimum side cutting pressure. They are used for internal and external threading applications.
