General Purpose AC Motors

Use these general purpose AC motors to power a variety of equipment, including pumps, fans, conveyors, and material handling machines. Open Drip Proof (ODP)

Designed for use in dry, clean, well-ventilated areas, ODP motors have open vents that allow air to flow over the motor to cool it. The cover helps keep liquid from dripping into the motor from within a 15° angle of vertical.

Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC)

TEFC motors have an external fan mounted to the housing to move air over the motor, helping to prevent overheating when there is inadequate airflow. The totally enclosed housing helps keep debris and moisture from getting inside the motor in damp, dirty, and dusty environments.

Totally Enclosed Non-Ventilated (TENV)

Typically more compact than fan-cooled motors, TENV motors don't rely on an external fan or open vents for cooling and are instead cooled by air circulated by the motor. They are totally enclosed, which helps keep debris and moisture from getting inside the motor in damp, dirty, and dusty environments.
