Air-Powered Impact Wrenches

Air-Powered Impact Wrenches

Lightweight and powerful air-powered impact wrenches, also called air wrenches, provide more power than comparable cordless and corded impact wrenches. These tools are used for removing stubborn or stuck fasteners in high-volume, high-torque applications, such as assembly and automotive work. Air-powered tools are typically lighter than comparable corded or cordless tools, helping to reduce fatigue when using the tool. Because air-powered tools have fewer moving parts, they tend to run cooler and require less maintenance than corded or cordless tools. For best results, use impact sockets with your tool.

Pistol Grip

These air-powered impact wrenches have a pistol grip handle that is perpendicular to the drill body. The most popular handle style, the pistol grip provides ergonomic handling when working on vertical surfaces from the user's waist to chest height, horizontal surfaces at mid-thigh or lower, or horizontal surfaces directly overhead.

Inline

The inline handles of these air-powered impact wrenches run along the length of the tool. Tools with inline handles are held in the same way as a manual screwdriver, making them suitable for use on waist-height horizontal surfaces or vertical surfaces above shoulder height. These tools provide ergonomic handling in assembly, production, and construction applications.

D-Handle

Increase stability and power with D-handle air-powered impact wrenches, which place the user's hands directly in line with the tool's body to allow maximum control and pressure application. Some tools have additional handles on the side or top to provide more leverage during heavy duty applications.

Right-Angle for Confined Spaces

Right-angle air-powered impact wrenches have a chuck that is oriented 90° to the tool body, providing a slim profile for working in areas with low clearance and reducing the need for extensions and swivel sockets when using the tool in confined spaces. The reactionless torque system eliminates kickback when the part is tightened or loosened, reducing the risk of hand injuries. These tools are commonly used in plumbing, electrical, and construction tasks.
