Cut complex angles on wide stock using these corded sliding compound miter saws, which are sometimes called sliding drop saws. Sliding saws have a rotating circular blade that is mounted on a hinged, sliding arm, allowing the saw to cut wider stock than standard compound miter saws. A base supports the workpiece underneath the arm as the arm is lowered and the blade is pulled across the workpiece. The cutting head can be angled and the base can be rotated to make complex angled cuts, such as when mitering angled corners in crown molding. Corded miter saws plug into an AC power source and provide consistent power in demanding applications with long or continuous run times.
