Rod & Piston U-Cup Seals

Also known as U-rings, these U-cup seals have flared edges, or lips, that effectively seal rods and pistons. Named after their U-shaped cross section, they can be used for static and dynamic applications.

Loaded U-rings have an O-ring filler, or energizer, that applies uniform contact to the flared edges to maintain sealing force at low and high pressures.

Unloaded for General Use

Suitable for sealing rods and pistons, these U-rings are typically used in low-speed, low-pressure applications in pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders.

Type B Loaded for Rods

The beveled lip of Type B rings increases the sealing force on rods in low-pressure applications.
