About Threaded Galvanized Pipe Fittings
These fittings are made of steel or iron that has been galvanized to create a corrosion- and rust-resistant layer of zinc on the surface, making them a good choice to join pipes in sewage or irrigation lines and low-pressure applications carrying air, natural gas, oil, steam, or water. They're commonly used outdoors and in wet and corrosive environments. The ends of the fittings are threaded for a secure connection to pipe.
Use 90° elbow fittings to make a sharp, perpendicular change in the direction of flow in your system where a small loss of flow pressure is not a problem. They are similar to 90° street elbow fittings, except they have two female ends to connect to male pipe ends or fittings.
