About Curve Cutting Handsaws

Use these curve-cutting handsaws, also known as coping saws, to cut intricate shapes or curved lines in a workpiece. Their thin blade has small cutting teeth that make clean cuts in delicate cutting tasks such as cutting molding or creating a coped joint. The blade of the saw stretches between a U-shaped frame. To cut in the center of a workpiece, the blade can be detached from the frame, inserted in a drilled hole in the workpiece, and then reattached to the frame to make the cut. Curve-cutting handsaws are recommended for use on wood or plastic.
