About Low Flow Oval Gear Flowmeters

Designed to measure the flow of materials that change their viscosity with temperature, these rugged flowmeters can be used in harsh environments with fuels, solvents, and lubricants, as well as with highly viscous fluids such as oils and syrup-consistency materials. These positive displacement meters measure flow by counting the revolutions of the two oval gears that are turned as the fluid moves through. Each gear has a magnetic core that is wired to send pulses to a sensor as it turns, allowing the flow rate to be displayed or connected to a data logger or batch controller.
