About Filter Bags & Magnets
Place filter bags in a compatible housing to remove particles from water and liquids without drastically impeding flow. They can usually be cleaned and reused, but if they need to be discarded, they create less waste than cartridges.
The filter rating, expressed in microns, indicates the smallest particle a filter can capture. The smaller the filter rating, the finer the particles the filter can capture. For example, lead dust is about 2 microns, hair is about 50 microns, and sand ranges from roughly 100 to 1,000 microns.
These felt filter bags have heat-welded seams and a glazed surface that prevents the bag's fibers from mixing with the filtered material.
