A nonmetallic thermoplastic and nylon housing on these IEC pin-and-sleeve devices protects connections from water and resists corrosion and flames. They meet standard IP67 for water resistance and standard UL94 for flammability safety. These meet IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) 60309 standards and should be matched with other IEC 60309 pin-and-sleeve devices.
