About IEC Nonmetallic Watertight Pin-&-Sleeve Devices

A nonmetallic thermoplastic and nylon housing on these IEC pin-and-sleeve devices protects connections from water and resists corrosion and flames. They meet standard IP67 for water resistance and standard UL94 for flammability safety. These meet IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) 60309 standards and should be matched with other IEC 60309 pin-and-sleeve devices.

Similar to plugs, these receptacles have male pins that stick out from the body and mate with connectors, but they are recessed in a housing for added protection.
