About Abrasive Belts

Remove material, polish, or finish surfaces faster and more evenly with these belts than with abrasive wheels, discs, or sheets. The belts are flexible, allowing them to conform to the contours and curves of your workpiece for smooth sanding even on irregularly shaped pieces. Use them on file sanders, portable belt sanders, and stationary sanders. Wide belts are commonly used for large surface areas, such as when stripping paint or sanding hardwood floors and narrow belts for smaller spaces to smooth out wood filler patches or debur small workpieces.

Harder, tougher, and longer lasting than general purpose aluminum-oxide grit, the zirconia-alumina abrasive on these belts cuts aggressively and is self-sharpening to resist wear. Ideal for heavy material removal, use these belts for wood planing, weld smoothing, and on hard metals like stainless steel and titanium.
