About Stainless Steel Instrumentation Tube Fittings

Fittings made from stainless steel have a corrosion-resistant surface that protects the material from environmental contaminants, even if scratched. They are suitable for use in harsh environments or for transferring corrosive liquids or non-potable water. Choose between single-ferrule and double-ferrule fittings. Although they can be used interchangeably, single-ferrule fittings (also known as CPI) are well suited for general-purpose applications, and double-ferrule fittings (also known as A-Lok) offer a more secure hold at higher pressures.

Instrumentation fittings are held to stricter tolerances than standard compression fittings and do not require welding, flaring, or any other tube preparation to install, reducing installation time and maintenance costs. They consist of a body, nut, and sleeve (or ferrule). The sleeve compresses against the tubing as the nut is tightened to form a tight seal. For use with hard plastic or metal tubing.
