About MIG Welding Guns

Handheld metal inert gas (MIG) welding guns attach to a compatible MIG welder and provide a controlled grip when welding aluminum, steel, or other metals. Electrode wire is fed through the gun and forms an arc with the workpiece to melt and fuse the base material and electrode material and create a weld.

MIG welding is typically faster and cleaner than stick welding and is ideal for welding large workpieces in manufacturing, automotive, and metalworking applications. Also known as wire feed, metal active gas (MAG), or gas metal arc welding (GMAW).

Rotate the neck on these straight-grip guns to position the trigger on the top or bottom. These push-pull guns have a pull motor that works with a wire feeder's push motor to bring the wire through the gun cable with minimal resistance. Push-pull guns are suitable for high-volume welding operations.
