About Thread-Making Round Dies
Use these round thread dies to cut new external (male) threads on cylindrical parts so they can be inserted into holes with corresponding internal (female) threads. Compatible die wrenches can be used to turn the die. Dies have an opening with internal threads and are rotated around a cylindrical part such as a pipe or rod to create external threads on the part.
Suitable for general purpose applications, these round adjustable carbon steel dies are a good choice for restoring or creating threads in a range of metal and plastic parts. They have a set screw for adjusting the thread depth to over- or under-cut threads for a precise fit, and they are suitable for hand or machine threading applications.
