About This Product

The wrenches in this Stanley Proto Open-End Wrench Set have an offset head angle, which bends away from the handle to provide clearance for turning fasteners. They are constructed of chrome vanadium steel, which combines the corrosion resistance of carbon alloy steel and chrome with the strength of vanadium. They have a satin finish, which creates a matte, uniform surface that is easy to clean, reduces glare, and hides fingerprints. They are double ended and have a smallest wrench size of 1/4 in. Set of 10.

About Open End Wrenches

One of the most commonly used tools, open-end wrenches have one or two U-shaped heads with fixed jaws for turning or holding a specific fastener size. The jaws grip two opposing faces of a hexagonal fastener and have a smooth surface to reduce the risk of damaging the fastener. Open-end wrenches can approach a fastener from the top or side and are a useful alternative to a box wrench in applications where it is not possible to approach the fastener from the top, such as when working on pipe joints.

Containing multiple open-end wrenches in a range of sizes, these sets are useful for working on a range of fasteners.
